AWARD WINNING
COLOURS a nonsense by Natasha Tsakos won the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Digital Gold Award and is available on Amazon, Apple Books and Barnes & Noble.
COLOURS is a play, an art book, a literary curiosity and an audio epic all in one. The nonsense immerses the reader in a Fool's odyssey searching for meaning in a world where nothing exists. Each page has been crafted as a singular work of art through composition and typography. COLOURS is entirely and intentionally composed of a mixture of real and imaginary words, twisted, invented, pun intended. COLOURS bridges philosophy, absurdity and design in a judiciously dynamic way.
An experience Samuel Beckett, Dr. Seuss and Albert Camus might have enjoyed over microchip cookies and rambutan tea. Enjoy the nonsense!

A NOTE FROM ME
After graduating from theater conservatory, I had written twelve works, including a full length cartoon for Nickelodeon.
As I started producing my plays, I realized the very words I spent hours channeling got in the way. Antoine de Saint Exupéry wrote "words are a source of misunderstanding". And they were. They stopped my audience and me, from diving deeper into the Worlds I was trying to conceive.
And so, with great perplexity but conviction, I abandoned words and storyboarded my next production, which freed my imagination from the literal and allowed me to play at a conceptual level. I was suddenly composing a dance of ideas and metaphors through motion, sound and images. That's when my journey began, devising a new genre that had not been developed yet.
Today, I am reuniting with words again. Those of COLOURS, a nonsense I wrote in 1999. Out of all the plays I have written, COLOURS is closest to my heart. It is mad, absurd, existential, strange, deranged and full of truths.
For those of you who know my work, what you are about to experience has no technology, no exhilarating music, no upbeat choreography… For this piece, I am going back to my roots.
My technology of choice: Words, and Wery Wild Wones.
I hope you'll enjoy the unusual world and nonsense of COLOURS.
